April Ward, MSN, CNM has specialized in women’s health for 15 years. She is nationally board certified as a nurse-midwife and is licensed in the State of New York as a midwife (L.M.) and as a registered professional nurse. April has cared for women aged 12 to 80 in a variety of settings, including community health centers, hospitals, and homes. She has delivered babies in Tennessee, Florida, and New York. April has a strong interest in promoting women’s hormone health across the lifespan, combining the tools of conventional health care with the latest insights in healthy living.
April earned her baccalaureate degree from Vassar College and her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Vanderbilt University. She has also studied Western herbalism, French medical aromatherapy, and Ayurvedic health techniques with a variety of international teachers and programs. April assesses the whole person and the human response to health conditions, with respect for the physical, emotional, and relational dimensions of each woman’s experience.
April is raising four energetic and inspiring girls, a Himalayan cat, and a rescued pit bull. She lives in Central New York with her family.
